On the price: The maker's own published starting figure for the base build. A dealer adds a loader, a deck and freight on top.

Lift figures are the maker's and are quoted at whichever point the maker chose; the about page explains why two loaders with the same number do not lift the same pallet.

From owner discussion and long-term write-ups

What owners say

What they like

  • 41.8 PTO hp is 84 percent of gross and the point where the NX frame's 3,177 lb hitch stops being more capacity than the engine can use
  • $2,513 over the NX4510 buys 5 engine hp and 4.2 PTO hp with nothing else changed on the machine
  • KL6010 loader at 2,761 lb at the pivot pin and 108.3 in of height, the most of any Kioti under 60 hp
  • 14.8 gal of fuel with 16.5 gpm of flow makes a full day of mixed loader and implement work realistic
  • 72-month powertrain term with no hour cap, plus 24 months bumper-to-bumper covering parts and labor

What they complain about

  • $34,050 is within $2,000 of Kioti's own 55 hp NX5510, which makes the middle model a hard sell against the top of its own series
  • Shuttle base means a clutch pedal on every direction change; the hydrostatic is $1,578 more
  • 3,978 lb is 231 lb lighter than the NX5510, so it needs ballast sooner under a loaded bucket
  • The 3,177 lb hitch figure has no published measuring point
  • Aftertreatment on the 3F183T engine is not named anywhere in the NX range

Gathered from owner reports

What owners report

Two things are worth knowing and both are cautions. A buyer about to sign for one reports being told by a dealer that the whole NX line had been discontinued a month earlier - unconfirmed here, but a question to put to your own dealer before committing, because it changes the parts and resale picture. And the only account of living with one comes second hand, from someone whose brother owns it: electrical faults and oil leaks are the specific gremlins he names, alongside the observation that blowing snow in reverse with it becomes unbearable after about half an hour.

What comes up favourably

  • Replacement seat covers and similar consumables turn up through third-party suppliers rather than only the dealer, which matters more on a model whose future is uncertain

What comes up as a complaint

  • A buyer reports being told by a dealer that the NX line had been discontinued, which if true affects both parts supply and resale - worth confirming before you buy
  • The one account of living with one, reported second hand from a family member's machine, names electrical faults and oil leaks as recurring problems

Questions worth asking

Is the NX line still being made?
A shopper about to buy an NX5010 reported a dealer saying the line had been discontinued a month earlier. Nothing here confirms it, and the claim traces back to a single dealer comment, but it is the kind of thing worth putting directly to the dealer you are buying from - a discontinued line changes what you should expect on parts availability and resale.
Can I blow snow with it?
You can, but do it from the front if you have the choice. The one relevant account here is from someone who has used a family member's machine with a rear-mounted blower and found half an hour of working over his shoulder about as much as he could stand. That is a known characteristic of rear-mounted blowers generally rather than something specific to this tractor.

Summarised from public owner discussion, not from testing. Nothing here was measured by this site, and a report that recurs is not the same as a defect rate.

Utility-grade hydraulics on a compact chassis: 16.5 GPM beats what a Deere 4044M or Kubota MX5400 pushes, which is why this one gets specced for loader-heavy days. Hydrostatic costs about $2,800 over the gear NS4710.
