A highlighted cell wins its row on the rule named above the table: more power, lift, capacity or flow, or a lower price. A lift row is left unwon whenever the two makers measured in different places, or where either of them did not say — a figure quoted at the pivot pin and one quoted 500 mm ahead of it describe the same loader and differ by roughly a third, so ranking them against each other would invent a result. Prices are typical list and move with dealer packages.
From owner discussion and long-term write-ups
What owners of each one say
TYM 2610
What they like
- 17 mph is the highest road speed of any TYM sub-compact and turns a long farm track into a short trip
- 65.7 in. of wheelbase, 6.6 in. more than the 2400, which makes a loaded loader bucket noticeably steadier
- 3-range hydrostat rather than the 2-range fitted to most sub-compacts, so there is a usable ratio for slow tiller work
- Cruise control standard with the HST
- 540/1000 rear PTO speeds, unusual at this size
- 72-month, 3,000-hour powertrain cover for non-commercial use
What they complain about
- TYM publishes no price - every model page ends at Request a Quote, and no two independent dealers quote a bare tractor, so the figure here would have to be invented
- 18 PTO hp out of 24 gross - the hydrostat costs 3 hp against the geared 2400, on the same engine
- 2,106 lb makes this the heaviest TYM sub-compact, on the same 1,499 lb hitch the 1,792 lb 2400 carries
- 6.0 gal of fuel on a machine built to travel is a short range
- Remote valves are optional, not standard
- The BL110S lifts 1,374 lb at the pivot point, only 60 lb more than the 2400's smaller loader
TYM T2025P
What they like
- 8.4 gal of fuel, 27 percent more than any other TYM sub-compact, which is most of a working day back
- 1,550 lb of hitch lift at the link ends, the highest figure in TYM's sub-compact range
- The loader valve comes with a guard and the PTO cover flips rather than unbolting - small things that survive years of use
- Yanmar's 3TNV80F is a widely serviced industrial diesel rather than a captive engine
- Four rear and two mid ports in one standard remote set, where most sub-compacts offer one optional valve
What they complain about
- TYM publishes no price - every model page ends at Request a Quote, and no two independent dealers quote a bare tractor, so the figure here would have to be invented
- Hitch lift collapses from 1,550 lb at the link ends to 560 lb measured 24 in. behind them, the steepest fall-off of any tractor in this catalog
- 4.17 gpm of implement flow from a single gear pump - the lowest in the TYM range and low for a machine sold on loader work
- 18.3 PTO hp from 24.7 gross is a 74 percent driveline figure, the weakest ratio in TYM's sub-compacts
- Two-speed hydrostat only, with no gear build offered
- 2,207 lb is heavy for the class, and the L2025P loader's 1,380 lb of lift does not stand out against it
