On the price: The maker's own published starting figure for the base build. A dealer adds a loader, a deck and freight on top.

Lift figures are the maker's and are quoted at whichever point the maker chose; the about page explains why two loaders with the same number do not lift the same pallet.

From owner discussion and long-term write-ups

What owners say

What they like

  • 3,177 lb at the 3-point is the largest figure Kioti publishes below the RX series, 237 lb more than the NS line and 461 lb more than any DK
  • The KL6010 loader lifts 2,761 lb at the pivot pin to 108.3 in, again the most of any Kioti under 60 hp
  • $31,537 is less than Kioti's own value-tier NS5310H, which has a smaller loader and a smaller hitch
  • 14.8 gal is the largest fuel tank in Kioti's compact and mid-utility range
  • 37.6 PTO hp from 45 gross is an 84 percent conversion, so very little of the engine is lost before the implement
  • 72-month unlimited-hour powertrain coverage, and the cab is a factory configuration at a published price

What they complain about

  • 45 hp is the least engine on a 3,978 lb frame built for 57.7, so it will run out of power before it runs out of hitch or loader
  • The shuttle needs a clutch pedal for every direction change, which is felt on a machine this clearly aimed at loader work
  • Hydrostatic adds $1,572 and the cab $7,922 over the base price
  • Kioti does not state where the 3,177 lb hitch figure was measured, so it is not comparable to a ball-ends rating
  • Aftertreatment is not published for the 3F183T engine at any NX hp point

Gathered from owner reports

What owners report

Two owners several hundred hours into NX4510 hydrostatics report much the same thing - no real trouble and a machine that has handled everything asked of it - and both are running theirs year-round in New Hampshire with backhoes and snow equipment attached. The live question for buyers is not whether it works but whether they can buy one locally.

What comes up favourably

  • Both owners reporting at around 350 hours describe trouble-free ownership: one bought new in 2021 says it has done everything he has asked and that he is glad he ended up with it rather than the DK he originally wanted, and the other, on a 2020, had a single problem with a dealer-installed part in his first winter that the dealer sorted quickly.
  • It takes a full range of attachments and gets used year-round - backhoe, snowblower and more on one owner's machine, in a climate that gives it a real winter to deal with.

What comes up as a complaint

  • Not every Kioti dealer carries the NX line, and buyers who have settled on one sometimes find their local dealer offering the NS instead. That is a genuine problem when dealer proximity is the main reason to buy the brand at all.
  • It faces stiff competition from inside Kioti's own range. One buyer weighing a 47-hour NX4510 hydrostatic at $30,000 had a brand new DK6010 hydrostatic at $31,000 and a new DK5320 at $34,000 in front of him, all with loaders - so a used NX prices against new DK machines rather than against rivals.

Questions worth asking

What is the real difference between the NX4510 and the NS4710?
Buyers pushed toward the NS because their dealer does not stock the NX work it out as roughly this: the NS is a little smaller and lifts a little less, and the NX uses electronic rather than mechanical controls, with the radio and linked pedal included where the NS does without. Whether any of that justifies travelling to a dealer who carries the NX depends on how much you value the controls and the extra capacity, against having service close to home.
Is a used NX4510 a good buy?
It depends what else is on the lot, because the pricing overlaps awkwardly. One buyer found a 47-hour NX4510 hydrostatic at $30,000 sitting against a brand new DK6010 hydrostatic at $31,000, both with loaders. Owners with 350 hours on theirs report no significant problems, so condition at those hours is not the worry - the question is whether a nearly new machine at almost the same money makes more sense.

Summarised from public owner discussion, not from testing. Nothing here was measured by this site, and a report that recurs is not the same as a defect rate.

The best horsepower-per-dollar in Kioti's DK line: 50.3 hp and 41.5 at the PTO for $32,871, less than the 44.9 hp hydrostatic DK4720. The trade is a synchro shuttle instead of hydrostatic, which suits field work far better than a day of loader cycles.
