A highlighted cell wins its row on the rule named above the table: more power, lift, capacity or flow, or a lower price. A lift row is left unwon whenever the two makers measured in different places, or where either of them did not say — a figure quoted at the pivot pin and one quoted 500 mm ahead of it describe the same loader and differ by roughly a third, so ranking them against each other would invent a result. Prices are typical list and move with dealer packages.
From owner discussion and long-term write-ups
What owners of each one say
Kioti DK4520
What they like
- The turbocharged 44.9 HP Daedong CRDI diesel delivers strong, high-torque power that handles heavy field and loader work
- The 2,716 lb loader lift and 14.5 GPM hydraulics are genuinely utility-class, out-lifting many pricier compacts
- Kioti builds their own engine and backs it with a 6-year powertrain warranty, excellent for a value brand
- At $31,121 it undercuts the 42.5 hp John Deere 4044M by $5,509 and the 50.3 hp Kubota MX4900 by $2,675
- 38.9 PTO HP runs big rotary cutters, tillers, and hay equipment with real authority
- The synchro-shuttle gear transmission is a rugged, efficient choice for sustained field work
What they complain about
- The dealer network is much smaller than Kubota's and Deere's, so service access and parts can be a challenge
- Resale value trails the Japanese brands, so you take a bigger depreciation hit if you sell
- The turbocharged common-rail engine is more complex to service DIY than a simple mechanical diesel
- The gear transmission requires clutching for direction changes, less convenient than HST for loader shuttling
- Fewer attachments are engineered specifically for Kioti versus the big two
Kioti NX4510
What they like
- 3,177 lb at the 3-point is the largest figure Kioti publishes below the RX series, 237 lb more than the NS line and 461 lb more than any DK
- The KL6010 loader lifts 2,761 lb at the pivot pin to 108.3 in, again the most of any Kioti under 60 hp
- $31,537 is less than Kioti's own value-tier NS5310H, which has a smaller loader and a smaller hitch
- 14.8 gal is the largest fuel tank in Kioti's compact and mid-utility range
- 37.6 PTO hp from 45 gross is an 84 percent conversion, so very little of the engine is lost before the implement
- 72-month unlimited-hour powertrain coverage, and the cab is a factory configuration at a published price
What they complain about
- 45 hp is the least engine on a 3,978 lb frame built for 57.7, so it will run out of power before it runs out of hitch or loader
- The shuttle needs a clutch pedal for every direction change, which is felt on a machine this clearly aimed at loader work
- Hydrostatic adds $1,572 and the cab $7,922 over the base price
- Kioti does not state where the 3,177 lb hitch figure was measured, so it is not comparable to a ball-ends rating
- Aftertreatment is not published for the 3F183T engine at any NX hp point
