TYM T264
Sub-Compact
24 hp engine · 18.3 PTO−24% to the shaft

TYM's own T1100N2 engine instead of a Yanmar, tuned to make its 24 hp at only 2,800 rpm, in a frame 400 lb heavier than the T224. The extra mass is what buys the 1,534 lb hitch, the biggest in TYM's sub-compact range.

On the price: Neither this maker nor any dealer reachable from here publishes a bare-tractor price for this model — every listing found either says “call for price” or bundles a loader. That is how this brand sells, so expect to get a number by asking a dealer rather than by looking it up.

Lift figures are the maker's and are quoted at whichever point the maker chose; the about page explains why two loaders with the same number do not lift the same pallet.

From owner discussion and long-term write-ups

What owners say

What they like

  • 1,534 lb of hitch lift at the link ends is the most in TYM's sub-compact line and more than a Kubota BX or a Deere 1025R will manage
  • Cruise control as standard on a sub-compact, which matters on a long mow
  • 24 hp at 2,800 rpm rather than 3,000-3,200, so it is doing less work per horsepower and running quieter
  • Dual gear pump splits 4.4 gpm to the implement circuit and 2.7 gpm to steering, so a loader cycle does not drag on the wheel
  • Infinite 2-range HST reaching 12.9 mph, half as fast again as the T224
  • Powertrain cover of 72 months or 3,000 hours for non-commercial use

What they complain about

  • TYM publishes no price - every model page ends at Request a Quote, and no two independent dealers quote a bare tractor, so the figure here would have to be invented
  • Only one remote valve, and it is optional
  • 4.4 gpm of implement flow is modest for a tractor asked to run a loader and a mid-mount deck
  • The TX2000 loader lifts 1,380 lb at the pivot point, which TYM publishes in kilograms-force on the loader page and not at all on the tractor page
  • 1,881 lb is heavy for a sub-compact if the job is crossing a soft lawn
  • The hitch lift falls to 1,102 lb measured 24 in. behind the link ends, so a long implement loses nearly a third of the figure

Smallest tractor TYM sells in North America and the only one under a litre: a 993 cc Yanmar three spinning to 3,200 rpm in a 1,472 lb frame. It undercuts a Kubota BX on weight by 200 lb, which is the point of it and also its limit.

The one sub-compact in TYM's range with a geared base build - a 6-speed constant-mesh box with only two reverse ratios - and that gearbox is why it makes 21 PTO hp where the hydrostatic 2400H makes 18. Three horsepower is a lot at 24 gross.

Same engine, hitch and pumps as the 2400 on a wheelbase stretched 6.6 in. and a 3-range hydrostat geared for 17 mph - the fastest sub-compact TYM builds. It is the long-legged version of the same machine rather than a more capable one.
