68 hp engine · 62.7 PTO−8% to the shaft

Deutz power and a cab as standard equipment, with 62.7 hp reaching the PTO out of 68 at the flywheel - a 92 percent driveline figure that almost nothing else in this catalog matches. TYM sells it as the renamed T654, and the two are the same tractor.

On the price: Neither this maker nor any dealer reachable from here publishes a bare-tractor price for this model — every listing found either says “call for price” or bundles a loader. That is how this brand sells, so expect to get a number by asking a dealer rather than by looking it up.

Lift figures are the maker's and are quoted at whichever point the maker chose; the about page explains why two loaders with the same number do not lift the same pallet.

From owner discussion and long-term write-ups

What owners say

What they like

  • 62.7 PTO hp out of 68 gross is a 92 percent driveline figure - the highest in this catalog, and it is what lets a 68 hp tractor pull a baler
  • Deutz TCD 2.9 rather than a captive engine, with a parts and service network of its own independent of the tractor brand
  • Cab is standard equipment, not an option - the spec table shows no ROPS weight at all
  • 24 forward speeds, with a synchro shuttle standard and a power shuttle available
  • Six standard remote valves on the floating and regeneration build, four on the spring and floating build
  • Category II hitch rated 4,270 lb at the link ends and 3,153 lb 24 in. behind them
  • 540 and 750 rpm PTO speeds, and 23 mph on the road

What they complain about

  • TYM publishes no price - every model page ends at Request a Quote, and no two independent dealers quote a bare tractor, so the figure here would have to be invented
  • 10.3 gpm of implement flow at 68 hp is thin - the 48 hp 4820 delivers 11.4 gpm
  • Cab-only means no cheaper ROPS build exists to bring the entry price down
  • TYM still sells the T654 alongside it, with nearly identical figures under a different name, which makes the lineup confusing to shop
  • 5,556 lb with the cab, heavy enough to mark soft ground
  • TYM publishes the L5068SL loader's lift only in kilograms-force on the loader page - 1,416 kgf, which is 3,122 lb

Where the ex-Branson line stops being a compact: a wet-clutch power shuttle, a Cat II hitch rated 4,409 lb, four loader valves and two rear remotes as standard, and 18.1 in of ground clearance. The BL350 loader's 3,437 lb pivot-pin rating is the highest figure TYM publishes under 70 hp.

The plain-spec Series 5: a Yanmar 3.3-litre four on a ROPS platform, sold on the argument that you should not pay for premium extras. It is the only Series 5 TYM without a cab and the only one geared for work rather than road speed.
