A highlighted cell wins its row on the rule named above the table: more power, lift, capacity or flow, or a lower price. A lift row is left unwon whenever the two makers measured in different places, or where either of them did not say — a figure quoted at the pivot pin and one quoted 500 mm ahead of it describe the same loader and differ by roughly a third, so ranking them against each other would invent a result. Prices are typical list and move with dealer packages.
From owner discussion and long-term write-ups
What owners of each one say
Kioti CS2530
What they like
- 24.5 hp and 19.3 PTO hp tops the CS range while still sitting under the 25 hp threshold that brings aftertreatment with it
- The cab version exists at this hp point alone in the CS series, so a heated sub-compact does not mean changing series
- Shares the heavier 1,735 lb CS chassis, which matters more than horsepower once a bucket is loaded
- 7.0 gpm pump and two-range hydrostatic, carried over unchanged from the models below
- 72-month unlimited-hour powertrain warranty and 24 months bumper-to-bumper with no deductible
- About $1,800 over the CS2230 buys 3.5 engine hp and 2.6 PTO hp with nothing else on the machine changed
What they complain about
- 871 lb at the pivot pin is modest for 24.5 hp - Kioti's own CX2510, at the same horsepower, lifts 1,092 lb
- The cab adds $8,592 over the open-station price, more than half the cost of an entire CS2210
- 700 lb of 3-point lift is the same as the 21 hp CS models, with no measuring point published
Kioti CX2510
What they like
- 11.3 gpm of total pump flow is close to double the CS line's 6.5-7.0, and that difference is felt directly in loader cycle time
- 1,203 lb at the 3-point is 500 lb more than any CS model, which is the difference between a light box blade and a real rotary cutter
- The KL2510 loader lifts 1,092 lb at the pivot pin and reaches 87.8 in, a full 14 in higher than the CS2220's loader
- Gear, hydrostatic and cab versions all sit on this one chassis, so the frame is not the part you outgrow
- 2,308 lb of tractor under 25 hp gives the loader the ballast it needs without adding wheel weights
- 72-month unlimited-hour powertrain term, the same coverage Kioti puts behind its compacts
What they complain about
- $17,827 is the gear price; the hydrostatic most buyers actually want is $19,524 and the cab $30,084
- 24.5 hp has to move 2,308 lb, so it is the heaviest machine per horsepower in Kioti's sub-compact range
- 6.6 gal of fuel on a tractor this heavy means short stints between fills
- Kioti never states where the 1,203 lb hitch figure was measured, so it cannot be set against a maker that quotes lift at the ball ends
- One model at one hp point - there is no larger CX to step up to without leaving the series
