TYM T394
Compact
37.4 hp engine · 30.2 PTO−19% to the shaft

The Yanmar-engined outlier in Series 3: a common-rail 3TNV88-CR instead of TYM's own block, cast-iron running gear and a dual-filter air cleaner. It trades the 3,306 lb hitch the rest of the series carries for engine pedigree.

On the price: Neither this maker nor any dealer reachable from here publishes a bare-tractor price for this model — every listing found either says “call for price” or bundles a loader. That is how this brand sells, so expect to get a number by asking a dealer rather than by looking it up.

Lift figures are the maker's and are quoted at whichever point the maker chose; the about page explains why two loaders with the same number do not lift the same pallet.

From owner discussion and long-term write-ups

What owners say

What they like

  • Common-rail Yanmar 3TNV88-CR rather than the indirect-injection and mechanical engines elsewhere in the class - quieter, cleaner and better on fuel
  • Dual-filter air cleaner and cast-iron component connections, both called out by the maker as durability items
  • 30.2 PTO hp from 37.4 gross, and cruise control as standard
  • 9.0 gal of fuel, the largest tank in TYM's Series 3
  • The TX39H loader lifts 2,116 lb at the pivot point on a 3,020 lb tractor

What they complain about

  • TYM publishes no price - every model page ends at Request a Quote, and no two independent dealers quote a bare tractor, so the figure here would have to be invented
  • 2,639 lb of hitch lift, 667 lb less than the 30 hp 3015 on the same shelf - this is the price of the Yanmar engine
  • 6.1 gpm of implement flow is the lowest of any TYM compact, and it is what you feel on a grapple
  • 12 x 12 mechanical shuttle only, with no hydrostatic option offered
  • Hitch lift falls to 1,558 lb measured 24 in. behind the link ends
  • Remote valves are optional (one or two), so nothing rear-mounted is plumbed as standard
  • 3,000 rated rpm, several hundred higher than the T3035's 2,100, which is more engine noise for less hitch

Yanmar's 3TNV80F under a TYM badge is the whole argument here: a known engine in a machine priced below the brands that usually carry it. A factory cab option at sub-compact size is rare, and package deals are where TYM dealers compete.

A 1.7-litre Kukje engine and a 2,965 lb frame make this far heavier than 24.6 hp suggests, and that mass is what the 2,200 lb loader rating rests on. TYM's current Series 2 lineup no longer includes it, so only the series page remains.

Carried over from the Branson line under the TYM badge, and still one of the hardest-hitting 41 hp compacts on paper: a 3,306 lb Cat I hitch and 11.4 gpm to the implement circuit, both well above what a Deere 3038E or Kubota L3302 offers. TYM will not publish what it costs.
