On the price: Neither this maker nor any dealer reachable from here publishes a bare-tractor price for this model — every listing found either says “call for price” or bundles a loader. That is how this brand sells, so expect to get a number by asking a dealer rather than by looking it up.

Lift figures are the maker's and are quoted at whichever point the maker chose; the about page explains why two loaders with the same number do not lift the same pallet.

From owner discussion and long-term write-ups

What owners say

What they like

  • 45.6 PTO hp from 55.9 gross, an 82 percent driveline figure and eight more PTO horsepower than the T454 on the same frame
  • The turbocharged 4TNV86CT makes its power from 2,091 cc, less displacement than the naturally aspirated T454's 2,189 cc
  • 2,945 lb of hitch lift still available 24 in. behind the link ends, out of 3,314 lb at the ends
  • An all-season cab is offered, which no other Series 4 TYM has
  • Two standard rear remote valves, cruise control and a 16 x 16 synchro shuttle
  • 15.9 gal of fuel and 18.4 mph on the road

What they complain about

  • TYM publishes no price - every model page ends at Request a Quote, and no two independent dealers quote a bare tractor, so the figure here would have to be invented
  • 9.5 gpm of implement flow, less than the 11.4 gpm the cheaper naturally aspirated 4820 delivers
  • Category I hitch on a 3,814 lb, 56 hp tractor
  • Turbocharged where most of the TYM range is not, so there is a turbo and its plumbing to look after
  • The TX55 loader's 2,478 lb is published only inside the brochure PDF - TYM's site has no TX55 page
  • 1.1 gal less fuel than the lower-powered T454 on the identical chassis

Yanmar's 3TNV80F under a TYM badge is the whole argument here: a known engine in a machine priced below the brands that usually carry it. A factory cab option at sub-compact size is rare, and package deals are where TYM dealers compete.

A 1.7-litre Kukje engine and a 2,965 lb frame make this far heavier than 24.6 hp suggests, and that mass is what the 2,200 lb loader rating rests on. TYM's current Series 2 lineup no longer includes it, so only the series page remains.

Carried over from the Branson line under the TYM badge, and still one of the hardest-hitting 41 hp compacts on paper: a 3,306 lb Cat I hitch and 11.4 gpm to the implement circuit, both well above what a Deere 3038E or Kubota L3302 offers. TYM will not publish what it costs.
