48 hp engine · 38.4 PTO−20% to the shaft

Series 4 is where TYM's hydraulics finally match its hitch: 11.4 gpm to the implement circuit against the 7.7 gpm the Series 3 tractors make do with, behind the same 3,306 lb lift. The 4820 is the naturally aspirated entry point.

On the price: Neither this maker nor any dealer reachable from here publishes a bare-tractor price for this model — every listing found either says “call for price” or bundles a loader. That is how this brand sells, so expect to get a number by asking a dealer rather than by looking it up.

Lift figures are the maker's and are quoted at whichever point the maker chose; the about page explains why two loaders with the same number do not lift the same pallet.

From owner discussion and long-term write-ups

What owners say

What they like

  • 11.4 gpm of implement flow, 48 percent more than any Series 3 tractor, which is what a grapple or a snowblower chute actually needs
  • 3,306 lb of hitch lift with a 16 x 16 synchromesh shuttle standard and a 4-range hydrostat offered
  • The BL200 loader lifts 2,701 lb at the pivot point, 500 lb more than the BL150 on the smaller frame
  • 11.8 gal of fuel, well up on the 7.1 gal the Series 3 tractors carry
  • Up to four optional remote valves
  • 540 and 750 rpm rear PTO speeds
  • Naturally aspirated - no turbo, no particulate filter, no regeneration

What they complain about

  • TYM publishes no price - every model page ends at Request a Quote, and no two independent dealers quote a bare tractor, so the figure here would have to be invented
  • 38.4 PTO hp from 48 gross is an 80 percent driveline figure, respectable but not what the bigger frame promises
  • All remote valves are optional; none is standard
  • Category I hitch despite 3,306 lb of lift, which limits what will pin up
  • Hitch lift falls to 2,425 lb measured 24 in. behind the link ends
  • 3,831 lb and a 71.1 in. wheelbase make it too big for the sort of yard a sub-compact handles

Yanmar's 3TNV80F under a TYM badge is the whole argument here: a known engine in a machine priced below the brands that usually carry it. A factory cab option at sub-compact size is rare, and package deals are where TYM dealers compete.

A 1.7-litre Kukje engine and a 2,965 lb frame make this far heavier than 24.6 hp suggests, and that mass is what the 2,200 lb loader rating rests on. TYM's current Series 2 lineup no longer includes it, so only the series page remains.

Carried over from the Branson line under the TYM badge, and still one of the hardest-hitting 41 hp compacts on paper: a 3,306 lb Cat I hitch and 11.4 gpm to the implement circuit, both well above what a Deere 3038E or Kubota L3302 offers. TYM will not publish what it costs.
