A highlighted cell wins its row on the rule named above the table: more power, lift, capacity or flow, or a lower price. A lift row is left unwon whenever the two makers measured in different places, or where either of them did not say — a figure quoted at the pivot pin and one quoted 500 mm ahead of it describe the same loader and differ by roughly a third, so ranking them against each other would invent a result. Prices are typical list and move with dealer packages.
From owner discussion and long-term write-ups
What owners of each one say
TYM T3025
What they like
- 3,307 lb of hitch lift from a 24 hp tractor - no other machine in this catalog gets close to that ratio
- The engine makes its rated power at 2,100 rpm, several hundred revs below the class, which means less noise and less fuel for the same work
- 21 PTO hp out of 24 gross, an 88 percent driveline figure
- Cruise control standard, and four standard loader valves with up to four more optional
- 8.7 gal of fuel, well above the 7.1 gal the older Series 3 tractors carry
- 12 x 12 synchromesh shuttle standard with a 3-range hydrostat available
What they complain about
- TYM publishes no price - every model page ends at Request a Quote, and no two independent dealers quote a bare tractor, so the figure here would have to be invented
- 24 hp will run out long before the 3,307 lb hitch does - this tractor can pick up implements it cannot pull
- Zero rear remote valves in the base build
- Hitch lift falls to 2,425 lb measured 24 in. behind the link ends
- TYM lists the L3035 loader for the T3025C cab model and the BL150 for '3025' - the tractor's own page names no loader, though both loaders rate 2,200 lb at the pivot point so the figure is the same either way
- 2,970 lb of tractor for 24 hp means traction, not speed, on soft ground
TYM T3035
What they like
- 30 PTO hp from 35 gross, at only 2,100 rated rpm - the same PTO figure as the 3515 from an engine turning 500 fewer revs
- 3,307 lb of hitch lift with cruise control and four standard loader valves
- 8.7 gal of fuel, 1.6 gal more than the older 3515 on the same frame size
- Choice of a 12 x 12 synchromesh shuttle or a 3-range hydrostat
- Naturally aspirated, with no turbo and no particulate filter
- 72-month, 3,000-hour powertrain cover for non-commercial use
What they complain about
- TYM publishes no price - every model page ends at Request a Quote, and no two independent dealers quote a bare tractor, so the figure here would have to be invented
- Zero rear remote valves standard, despite four being fitted to the loader circuit
- Identical 2,970 lb weight and 65.7 in. wheelbase to the 24 hp T3025, so the frame is not braced for the extra power
- Hitch lift drops to 2,425 lb at 24 in. behind the link ends
- TYM's page lists the displacement as 1,744 cc where every other T1700-series entry says 1,714 cc - a one-digit inconsistency on the maker's own table
- The L3035 loader's 2,200 lb at the pivot point is the same figure the 24 hp T3025 gets
