New HollandWorkmaster 35C
Compact
35 hp engine · 31 PTO−11% to the shaft

Replaces the long-running Workmaster 35 with a bigger 1.9-litre three-cylinder, a 12.6-gallon tank where the old machine carried 7.4, and a 2,067 lb hitch against the outgoing 1,808 lb. Launched at World Ag Expo in February 2026, and New Holland has not published a price for it: the current compact price book predates the machine.

On the price: Neither this maker nor any dealer reachable from here publishes a bare-tractor price for this model — every listing found either says “call for price” or bundles a loader. That is how this brand sells, so expect to get a number by asking a dealer rather than by looking it up.

Lift figures are the maker's and are quoted at whichever point the maker chose; the about page explains why two loaders with the same number do not lift the same pallet.

From owner discussion and long-term write-ups

What owners say

What they like

  • 2,067 lb of Category 1 lift at the ball ends against 1,808 lb on the Workmaster 35 it replaces, so it takes a heavier rotary cutter without the hitch being the limit
  • 12.6 gallons of fuel where the old Workmaster 35 and 40 carried 7.4, which is most of a working day back rather than a lunchtime refill
  • 13.3 GPM of total flow from a dual-pump system, 8.4 of it reserved for implements and 4.9 for steering, so loader speed does not fall away when the wheels are turned
  • The 270BC backhoe mounts on its own brackets without removing the three-point arms and without a subframe under the tractor, so ground clearance survives the fitting
  • Naturally aspirated at 35 hp, which is one fewer thing to fail than the turbocharged 40C beside it
  • Warranty runs 24 months bumper-to-bumper and 72 months total on the powertrain, a longer term than most compacts at this size
  • Up to three rear remotes, one factory-fitted and the rest stackable at the dealer

What they complain about

  • No published price at all - the Model Year 2026 compact price book was effective October 2025 and predates this machine, and no dealer consulted lists a figure, so every quote is a conversation
  • Foldable ROPS only; there is no cab option anywhere in the C Series, which the Boomer range above it does offer
  • New Holland prints the two 250LC loader capacities, 903 lb and 1,344 lb, without naming the measuring point for either, so neither can be compared with a Deere or Kubota pin figure
  • The 250LC is non-self-levelling, so a loaded bucket has to be corrected by hand on the way up
  • No cruise control is listed, which tells on long rotary-cutting runs
  • 31.0 hp at the PTO on the gear box drops to 30.1 on the hydrostatic, so the easier transmission costs a little take-off power
